If you grew up with a Windows PC in the late 90s or early 2000s, you almost certainly spent an afternoon you were supposed to spend on homework playing 3D Pinball for Windows – Space Cadet. The steel-blue table, the satisfying thunk of the plunger, chasing that rank-up from Cadet to Fleet Admiral — for many people it was the first pinball machine they ever touched.
Then Windows Vista arrived in 2007, and the game quietly vanished. Microsoft cited compatibility issues with the 64-bit era — the original codebase had hard limits that made a straightforward port harder than it was worth — and it never came back. Since then, every week thousands of people search for “3D pinball”, “3d pinball for windows” or “why did Microsoft remove pinball”, trying to find somewhere to play it again.
That’s exactly why this site exists. We built a modern, free browser pinball you can start playing in seconds — no download, no installer, no dusting off a Windows XP virtual machine. It’s not a rip or a repackaged copy of the original: it’s a new pinball game with real physics simulation running at 60 ticks per second, built with the same spirit — a space-age table you can just play.
The first table here is Cyber Neon: a neon-lit cyberpunk playfield where a 5-hit bumper combo triggers Overcharge (double scoring table-wide), chained orbit laps stack LOOP COMBO bonuses, and filling the hunt meter unlocks a five-mission chase that ends in a Wizard showdown with four balls on the table at once.
Works with a keyboard on desktop; on mobile the game shows on-screen touch controls. New to pinball rules in general — flippers, ball save, jackpots, multiball? We wrote a plain-language beginner’s guide: How to play pinball.
Playing is completely free — the site is supported by ads shown between sessions, with an optional in-app purchase to remove them. Each table is a small download (well under 1 MB) that loads in seconds and is cached so your second visit starts instantly. Your best scores are saved locally per table.
